(USA-573) owned and helmed by Bahar Gidwani. Racing took place on western
Long Island Sound
Primary position: Foredeck. Tack and trim jib, set
and gybe spinnaker, provide conditions and competitor input to helm.
Additional experience trimming main, flying and trimming spinnaker.
Assisted in preseason boat prep (stepping mast, sanding hull, patching gel coat,
etc.) and post season clean up.

Avance 36, Skye
owned and helmed by Harry and Jane Roundell. Raced on western Long Island
Sound
Primary position: Jib trimmer. Ground
jibsheet winch, assisted in setting of pole, assisted in main trim. Helped
with preseason preparation including brightwork
Open Water Experience
July 2003
Odyssey, 1984
CT-54 (54’ Ketch)
Worked as crew on journey from Norfolk, VA to St.
Georges, Bermuda (approximately 650 nm). Kept solo watches including at
night; reefed main, trimmed jib, staysail, main, and mizzen; assisted in setting
and hoisting anchor; aided in general maintenance and upkeep; cleared fouled
prop; climbed mast to replace windex.
Catbird, Defours
Nemo (82’ Catamaran)
Worked as crew from St. Georges, Bermuda to Sag Harbor, NY.
Kept solo watches (including night); reefed mainsail; trimmed main, jib, and
staysail; cooked and cleaned in galley; aided in fixing broken marine head;
helped refuel while at sea.
Boundless, 1971 Hinkley Sou'wester 49 (49' Ketch)
Worked as crew and watch keeper from Southwest Harbor, ME
to Oyster Bay, NY. Maintained watch (including solo AM watch in heavy
fog), trimmed all sails, helmed while mooring.
