Hello all! First of all, many thanks to Janice for her excellent and never ending work to keep this site running and up to date! If you read anything posted since I left for Africa, itīs stuff she put up for me. When you meet her, buy her a drink to say thanks! Secondly, hereīs a brief travel synopsis: Jersey - cool weather but warm hospitality, Brittany - great food, cool and foggy, challenging sailing, the Bay of Biscay - a sample of its potential provided when we crossed it in 30kt winds; Gallicia - funny accents to their Spanish (almost lispy), good octopus, fine squid, great cheese and pepers ("pimientos de padron" - little fried chilli peppers, YUMMY). Bayona (current stop) is absolutely lovely, I highly recommend it! Next up: a 3 day sail to Cadiz and the Sherry producing regions (damn, this is such a rough life!) then a stop somewhere along the Costa del Sol where we hope to get inland to Grenada and the Alhambra, somewhere in the Balerics, Sardinia and who knows after that! All is well with me and I hope the same holds true for you! Jim
